Note to Self

Today is the Thanksgiving feast at the boys school. I've spent all morning making potluck dishes and packing and getting ready, you know what?

Its awesome, and I am so grateful to be able to do it!

Cyrus -

He wanted to have an epic family Olympics thing, we didnt, but he and I did sword fight and that was fun.

Also, I'm going to read the Battle books and have a little book club with him.

Cedric -

Asked if he could join the book club too!

Caspian -

In some ways he is getting older but he is still so, so young. He hasn't been wanting to sleep in his bed lately. Or go to the potty by himself.

Cecil -

When you ask him to give you a kiss, he puts his lips on your face and stays there until you make the "kiss" sound. It is cute!

Caspian and Cedric - Santa Claus beards made out of bubbles...

Cyrus - he and Dad went to Scouts tonight. I had all the other boys down by the time they got home.

Cyrus was sitting in the living room with us just chatting away... I have to remind myself how young he is so often!

Cecil - he got a new pair of Sure Steps today. At the office they have a dog. Cecil is super fond of the dog, well, mostly its ball, he stole it and was playing with it. Lucky for him the dog was content to chew on a doll!

caspian- Has been singing a lot lately, especially at nap time.

Today it was back and forth between "10 in the Bed" and "Star Wars".

Cecil - as I was getting corn dogs out of the box, one happened to fall and hit him straight on the nogin. He wasn't happy, but, he picked up the frozen corndog and started eating it!

He held on to it for dear life, carried it out to get Caspain off the bus and everything.

Finally, one we sat down for lunch and he was presented with a warm corn dog... He sat there for a while eating one bite of warm and one bite of his frozen corn dog... Not sure which he liked best...

Cedric - he continues to be my artsy fartsy guy. Tonight while setting the table he wanted to make sure ever ones cup and spaghetti bowl matched!

Cyrus - made me a tin foil Lion!

Election Night 2016

Cyrus: 

For whatever reason, Cyrus was super into the election results last night! 

Clear until almost 11 pm (you know an hour AFTER he was supposed to be in bed) he would run back and forth to check the results on the computer and come back in to tell us who was winning!

Lately, the boys have decided to pull the small picnic table over by the couch and use the set up as an obstacle course. It's a great way to get their wiggles out... not great for the couch, or the table... but... oh well. 

Tonight as Caspian was standing on top of the table getting ready to "jump" he would say: 

"Cannon... BALL"

Then proceed to jump onto the couch... pretty funny! 

Cecil: 

Introduction

This is simply a place to take a moment each (most) evenings to write down the "good" things that happened that day. 

I find myself being sad, depressed and deflated way more than I want to be so this is my way of reminding myself what amazing blessings I have!
